We are a small-scale microdairy nestled in the high desert of northern New Mexico, where we care for a herd of Jersey cows on five acres of land. Through our farm, we steward traditional agricultural practices rooted in relationship, nourishment, and a deep connection to the land.
We are also the founders of the Ancient Arts Folk School, offering hands-on workshops that preserve and pass on time-honored skills — from cheesemaking, and animal husbandry, to ritual animal butchering and hide tanning.
Our farm produces organic, thoughtfully raised foods, including low-PUFA eggs and raw milk, available directly from our land to your table.

Meet Jen + Heathar
Jen and Heathar met in Santa Fe and spent more than a decade searching for a place to call home — a landscape where they could put down roots, grow food, and build a life in relationship with the land. In 2022, they found their farm in northern New Mexico, a place that would become the foundation for a new vocation.
Together, they stepped into the daily work of farming: raising animals, producing nourishing food, caring for the land, and learning the rhythms of a life rooted in place. Alongside their farm work, they document and write about the beauty, challenges, and traditions of rural life — exploring what it means to live close to the sources of our food and the landscapes that sustain us.
Through their farm, their writing, and the Ancient Arts Folk School, Jen and Heathar share the skills, stories, and practices that help reconnect people with the land and with the old ways of making, growing, and belonging.
